Download video from YouTube or Google Video, save flv to avi:

Step 1. Download Free YouTube Download

This is the clearly free program. There are no spyware or adware. It's absolutely safe to install and to run!

Step 2. Launch Free YouTube Download

Follow Start > All Programs > DVDVideoSoft > Free YouTube Download or click the DVDVideoSoft Free Studio icon on the desktop and then YouTube Download on the left sidebar.

The interface is very simple and self explaining. There are the field for an input file or a YouTube or Google Video link, the field for an output path, and the Dowload button.

Step 3. Add YouTube or Google Video Link

Save FLV to AVI: add YouTube or Google video link

Enter a YouTube or Google Video link to the input video field. The link looks like:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=brk62KwmzI0

Note: It is recommended to "copy-paste" the link directly from the browser address bar to this field.

Step 4. Select Output File Location and Format

Click the "..." button on the right. Choose the location where you would like to save your downloded video file from YouTube or Google Video. Click Save.

Here you can also specify the output video file format. Save FLV to AVI, MP4 or 3GP (playable by all modern media players) or just save it as original FLV.

Step 5. Switch to Batch Mode

Click the Switch to a batch mode... link to download several videos from YouTube or Google Video during one session.

Step 6. Add More Links

Then click the Add URLs... button to add other YouTube URLs to download several videos from YouTube.

Note: If you want to return to a single mode click the Switch to a single mode... link.

Step 7. Download Video

Save FLV to AVI: download video from YouTube or Google Video

Then you are ready, click the Download button along the bottom of the interface and wait just a few seconds or several minutes max (depending on your internet connection speed).

Now the YouTube and Google video is on your computer.

Step 8. Convert Video to Other Formats or Burn to DVD (optional)

When you have downloaded video on the hard drive, you can convert it to other video formats or burn it to dvd using AVS Video Converter.
