If you get Video Detection Error, you might need to clean up cookies in your browser. Then restart the program and try to download YouTube videos one more time. Also try to download videos with enabled option “Use cookies” (Options => General tab) and then with disabled option (in some cases it works in disabled mode and in some cases in enabled one). How to clean cookies: For Google Chrome users: Settings => Show advanced settings... => Privacy => Clear browsing data... => Check "Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data" => Choose "the beginning of time" from the drop-down list => Click "Clear browsing data". See this screenshot for more details. For Firefox/Mozilla users: Options => Options => Privacy => Remove individual cookies => Remove all cookies => Close. See this screenshot for more details. For Internet Explorer users: Tools => Internet Options => General => Browsing history => Delete... => Check “Cookies" => Delete. See this screenshot for more details. Alternatively you can clean up cookies using some software. We can recommend you to use this free program: 1. Download and install CCleaner 2. Open the program and click “Run Cleaner” Posted 8 months ago # |

Still doesn't work for me :'( I first deleted all youtube & google cookies. Then opened the downloader and pasted link with cookie detection enabled. No video detection. Then cookie detection disabled, pasted again. No video detection. Then I logged back in on youtube and did the same steps. Again, no video detection. I sent my log yesterday. I do have a cookie blocker but both youtube & google are allowed... Posted 8 months ago # |

Forgot to say that I also tried a different youtube video downloader (standalone app) and it worked so cookies shouldn't have much influence I guess. The only reason I'm not using the other program (yet) is because it can't download playlists or a complete channel. Posted 8 months ago # |

I am having a similar issue. I have v. 3.1.35 build 903. Upon trying to download, it only gets .5% and then after a short time gives me a video detection error. I have tried to download multiple different files and get the same error on all of them. I have tried to clear my cookies. I use Firefox. but it doesn't matter what browser I use, I get the same error. Posted 8 months ago # |

I'm experiencing a similar issue. Youtube Video Downloads were functioning fine yesterday, however today..."video download error". Uninstalled the Studio suite, deleted old files, reinstalled new DVDSoft Studio Suite. Still experiencing the same issue with every attempt to download video from Youtube. Posted 8 months ago # |

Just performed deletion of cookies as suggested above... ie - Tools => Internet Options => General => Browsing history => Delete... => Check “Cookies" => Delete. No resolution. Issue persists. Any further suggestions specific to a "fix" would be greatly appreciated. Posted 8 months ago # |

This is really grinding my gears. The program does this repeatedly and it's a pain to try and fix it. I've tried every possible way to fix it. Nothing's working. I don't understand. Posted 8 months ago # |

Ditto. Ran into problems. Downloaded latest version 3.1.3 build 5903 And only 0.5% Then error. Clearly not a cookie issue if everybody's experiencing this exact same problem. Posted 8 months ago # |
