Videos may be restricted for the following reasons
- The video has been removed from YouTube.

- The video is private. You can download it if the owner gives you access.
- It is a purchased video or members-only content.
If you're getting download errors every time you save a YouTube video, here's a handy tip.
Go into your download application and configure the browser settings:
1. Launch DVDVideoSoft YouTube Downloader and go to
Tools - Options - Advanced - Cookie source.
Select 'Most recent cookies'.
Note: the application may ask you to enter your YouTube account login details.
2. After changing the settings, restart the application and paste the download URL.
To successfully download from YouTube, it's necessary to retrieve additional information from the browser.
This is why you need to sign in to your YouTube account either in the application or in Firefox. If you don’t want to use the in-app login, follow the steps written bellow:
1. Open youtube.com in Firefox and enter your login information.
Start the DVDVideoSoft download application and go to Tools - Options - Advanced - Cookie source - Select Firefox.
2. Paste the YouTube URL for download.
We recommend Firefox because it's a fast and convenient browser that works well with the logic of our program.
